Lago Rosa de Torreviejo

This was not quite how I remembered this lake approximately 10 years ago, but it was an interesting detour ☺️

The water here is so heavy with salt that you just float on the surface exactly like in the famous Dead Sea.

Iconic is the pink/purple hue of the water - more pronounced in the low-angle light of the evening hours.

Travel tip:
Bring 5L clean water per person to wash yourselves after dipping. Otherwise you’ll be itchy and scratchy all day.
Also the basin has uncomfortably rough floor, so having some “snorkeling shoes from Egypt” with you, is a plus.
