    What else to do here?

    May 16, 2022 in Portugal ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Lisbon is a huge city obviously, the touristic part being mainly in the center old town. We could afford a few hours so we took one of the historic tramways and walked about.

Very busy traffic the day. Do not attempt to drive here during the day unless you’re an experienced and confident driver and you do not have a large vehicle.

In Lisbon you will appreciate the two Brazilian engineers, José Braz Araripe and Fernando Lehly Lemos who invented the automatic gearbox in 1932 and made discovering this city by car so much easier! 😂

The condition of the pavement in the city centre is really bad. I mean, by modern standards. I don’t think there is a single public street in Tallinn so poorly maintained.

The streets can be very steep, narrow and twisty, often parked on both sides.
Better park your car underground (where you can pay with card at the cashier - usually not at the machines) and traverse the city by our Estonian unicorn 🦄 Bolt. You have a selection of scooters and electric bikes.
