Südamerika

Mitten in Uruguay verbrachte ich drei Tage auf einer Estancia, nicht zum Ausruhen sondern um als Gaucho zu arbeiten ;-) Die Estancia hat eine Fläche von ca. 10 km2 mit 1100 Kühe, 1800 Schafen, 74 Pferden und jeder Menge Vögeln. Die Besitzer sind eine uruguayanisch-schweizerische Familie mit zwei Kindern und zwei Angestellten. Jeden Tag ging es am Morgen und Nachmittag jeweils auf dem Pferd drei Stunden raus um Rinder oder Schafe zusammen zu treiben, zu behandeln und aussortieren. Hat super Spass gemacht und das hausgemachte Essen war Mega lecker. Alles in allem eine super Erfahrung, die ich sofort wiederholen würde.

In the middle of Uruguay I spent three days on a Estancia, not to relax but to work as a gaucho ;-) The Estancia is around 10 km2 with 1100 cattle, 1800 sheep, 74 horses and a lot of birds. The owners are Uruguayan-Swiss couple with two children and have two employees. Every day in the morning and evening we went out for three hours on the horse to herd cattle, sheep, treat or sort out the animals. It was great fun and the home cooked food was so nice.
