• Whisky, wine and beer!

    On our way around the coast, stopped at Dunluce castle. Chuckled at the Paddywagon and remarked how quiet it was, and we were lucky for the time of year.

    Decided to head over to Bushmills whisky distillery today… “when in Rome”. Although I can firmly confirm I do not like whisky after the tastings, it was interesting to see the process, smells and learn the significance of the different barrels.
    We then met Anne’s lovely aunties for a walk on Portstewart Strand, enjoyed beachfront coffees, and dipped our toes in the sea.

    Anne and I were very giddy after wanting to find Allen a nice bottle of wine as a thank you gift for all the driving… left the store with a lovely bottle of “fat bastard” which will forever make us laugh. As always Al saw the funny side!

    We found a pub stopover at Annargy, where we had fabulous food and a home brewed beer flight, and enjoyed the peaceful setting by the estuary.
