Hungry!

After the long border control wait, we were tired and hungry, so we stopped at the first parking lot we found - a shopping mall. We were surprised that even the mall, has a security check at the entrance - with a scanner and some officers.

We immediately wanted to try something local, rather then go for the easy burger and fries option.

We had an informative exchange with the cashier - we were speaking English, she spoke Turkish and understood some of what we were saying. This is how we learned what pide is - this oval shaped focaccia resembling dough, that comes with all sorts of toppings. We also learned that sujuk is a type of sausage, even if the pictures accompanying the title looked mostly veggie based.Read more
