Watkins Glen State Park

What's here? For us it was walking trails and waterfalls. And I'm talking hilly walking trails so that by the end, all three of us were worn out. There is a Gorge Walk for incredible waterfall views, but dogs are not allowed. But it is a lovely park and obviously very popular.

So we hit the road into wine country, going up Rt 414 along the eastern side of Seneca Lake and heading to Ovid, NY. Why Ovid?--that is where Dales's maternal grandmother, Anne Louise Clark, was born in 1908.
