    After a beautiful winding drive through the Jefferson National Forest, we arrive in the charming—but a bit quirky—town of Georgetown, Kentucky. Located north of Lexington’s famed horse country, this area is more likely to have cows grazing than acres of horseflesh. Dinner was from a food truck built from an old horse trailer, in front of an Irish restaurant, while our liquor store run ended up next to a taxidermy shop. Add in beautiful Japanese gardens with the local Trinity Church selling “firecrackers for Mission”, presumably their church fundraiser to spread the good word. Georgetown has personality plus.Read more
