Hoi An to Da Nang

Our morning started with a nice sleep in before checking out of our accom in Hoi An.
We left our bags with reception and headed out for the day, amos had a try of the famous Vietnamese egg coffee. our first stop was a duck farm! Drove through some golden rice fields to get there. Over 1,000 ducks here! We became duck leaders! Amos got a body massage from the ducks and I got a feet massage from the ducks! Definitely a unique experience!
We found out the coconut boat ride we had done yesterday wasn’t the real company and that is why we thought it was nothing like the online videos. We got scammed! We headed over to the proper touristy company and did another coconut boat ride! This time we went past the karaoke island, through the coconut trees canal and past the real spinning coconuts! Such a better experience, with lots of other coconut boats surrounding us!
An Bang beach was the next stop, we had a lovely lunch here, did a quick walk but soon decided to head back to pickup our bags and make our way north again.
We got Grabs up to Da Nang which is our next destination for a few days, the ride was about an hour which was definitely the maximum we could do whilst having all our backpacks on us. Felt like we were gonna fall off the back because of the weight of the bags.
Arriving in Da Nang was a lovely change of scenery, it’s much like Miami with the main beach strip, busy atmosphere with tourists, lots of food joints and clubs around. Also was nice seeing soo many white people around! lol.
Hired a scooter and went to get some burgers for an early dinner! (Craved some western food after so much Pho and Bahn mi) On our way back to the hostel we did a quick beach walk and got caught in the rain …again.
Our plans were to have a quick nap before heading out for the dragon fire show at 9pm but unfortunately we both fell asleep around 7pm and there was no chance of us getting up again.
