Vegan in Faroe

Being a vegan in the Faroe Islands is challenging.
The (quite large) supermarket had only a few milk alternatives plus the chocolate mousse. And Hummus. Not even a simple burger. The veggie and fruit selection is limited but what you find is high quality (and highly priced). The joy of being on an island...
Also Happy Cow, the bible for vegans, is empty besides one restaurant.
Luckily we have a spacious and well equipped kitchen, eating in is not a problem.Read more
