    The Doo Lough valley Ireland.
    In the winter of 1849, 600 starving people made their way over the mountains to seek for help and food on the other side of the valley. But they were refused help.
    Many died of cold, hunger and exhaustion. Some were buried where they fell.
    Today the valley is one of the most beautiful scenery I've seen so far in Ireland. But the memorial of the great famine reminds us of darker days.
