    Howth Harbour Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse and was built in 1817 to help guide shipping into the harbour which acted as the terminus for the packet service between Ireland and England.
    The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1982 and replaced by a modern pole light on an adjacent extension of the pier. However, the old lighthouse remains an iconic landmark in Howth.
