What. A. Day.

We really shouldn’t have joked that things always go wrong on an adventure 🙄 … but before the adventure has even started? That’s bold. Even for us 😂

After twelve hours of tapping, scrolling, comparing, cancelling and rebooking, I can confirm two things:
1: My screen time is deeply embarrassing.
2: Coffee is the real source of this trip ☕

As you can probably guess, certain global “events” (which we shall not name in this world of online watching 👀) decided our Istanbul → Chennai route via Kuwait was not meant to be.

So.

Operation Plan B commenced.

Which swiftly became Plan C.
Which then spiralled into Plan D.

But somewhere between caffeine top-ups and airline seat maps, we had a moment of clarity.

If you can’t go south… go east.

Quite a bit east, actually.

Think Silk Road…
Think turquoise domes…
Think a place that wasn’t even on the original bingo card 👀

From there? We’ll dip down to Singapore before continuing the adventure.

Not the route we planned.
But possibly the route we were meant to take.
