St Jean Day Two

It's been raining on and off since we arrived yesterday. And though it's not winter cold, it's chilly to be out in it. So after we checked out of the apartment, we found a great little restaurant for an early lunch and lingered as long as we could. Then visited a museum that used to be a prison during WWII before checking in to our accommodations for this evening.

We are staying in an albergue (in France, they're called Gites) tonight to be able meet some Pilgrims who will be starting the Camino tomorrow as well.

It's looking like we may have to scrap the original plan to walk over the Pyrenees as snow is predicted, and we're not equipped to deal with that. First stop tomorrow is about halfway up, but the next day we will most likely be taking the alternate route to get to Roncesvalles.Læs mere
