    After a few days in Rome we packed in a trip to Assisi. Perched on a hilltop not far from Rome it is small town, but with so much to see. The birthplace of the well known Sts Francis and Clare it has come to be one of the great pilgrimage destinations of Europe. We spent our day exploring some of the beautiful churches and breathtaking cobblestone alleyways backdropped by the valley.Read more
