Über die A 75 fahren wir durch die schöne Landschaft Frankreichs. Diesmal nehmen wir den Weg über das Viadukt von Millau, die längste Schrägseilbrücke (2460m) und die größte Brücke (Pfeilerhöhe 343m) der Welt. Nach 340 km verbringen wir die kommende Nacht, Nähe der N75, in Massiac. Das alte Dörfchen liegt, umgeben von Obstgärten und Weinbergen, an dem kleinen Bachlauf Alagnon. Der Stellplatz befindet sich, ruhig gelegen am Ortsrand, in einem kleinen Wäldchen, unmittelbar am Bach.Read more

Driving through France

When traveling through France We've taken a tour bus from Paris to Normandy and back, but it was basically dark and/or gloomy both ways on that trip. Then we traveled by train from Paris to NÎmes, but couldn't really get any good pictures. From NÎmes we picked up a rental car to go to Buron and then Bordeaux. I wasn't expecting the drive to be so beautiful. We passed canyons and cliffs and valleys. I had no idea France was so dynamic, at least South Western France. We should see more of Northern France some more next year. So many small villages had castles on top, but I couldn't capture them all on film.

On day 2 of our drive there was nothing but fog the ENTIRE WAY. I got a couple cool pics of the fog, but needless to say, I didn't bother trying to get many.

Traveler Great pics. looks like you have a great chauffeur. That was a very good idea getting a car. Nothing like the freedom to go , stop , and explore on your own.

Traveler Not easy wrestling the wheel away from her haha. tty tonight. have a wonderful day. Not missing a lot here. I did think of you 2 when cutting and stacking 4 trees Pete and I dropped. I saved the big pieces for you and Cody. lol
