Southern Appalacians

There is something so very captivating about the Southern Appalachians. The depth? The texture? The people? Or, maybe it’s my connection and love of the trail. Our plans were to start the Blue Ridge Parkway and proceed north. Nope. Closed?!? It was a Wally World moment for us. Really?!?
