La Creperie

It was a glorious, sunny drive into Key West during which we worked up quite an appetite. (I know this surprises everyone.) First order of business was the Blue Heaven Cafe, at which there was a REALLY NOISY live band playing and a half-hour wait. By happy coincidence there was a lovely French crepery across the street, owned and cheffed by 2 actual French fellows. We were shown to a quiet table on shaded porch and were quickly served with some absolutely stunningly wonderful omelets, toast made with real bread, exquisitely roasted and herbed home fried potatoes with salad, fruit and coffee.
