    Tearful Departure

    I was sorry to leave Laurie and John. I had a wonderful time with them. Heather and I need to come visit more often.

    The photo is blurry, my fault for shaking. It comes with age sometimes.

    Oh, I got a really good sleep last night. Probably because John and I went out to eat last night with some of his neighbor men while the wives gathered for bunko. When Laurie came home she announced that she had won $10. I didn’t get a photo of her proud announcement, nor did I get a photo of the gentlemen at dinner. I need to have my phone at the ready to get these moments. But back to dinner and the good night’s sleep… well, back in a moment. I am picking up John’s method telling stories, slowly drawing you into the tale, having quite a few side journeys, before finally returning to the main theme for the finally revealing of the ending. Now finally back to the story… at dinner I had two pints of IPA, and when I crawled into bed at 9 and turned the light off a short time later, I immediately fell asleep.Read more
