I just got off a 10 hour flight on a super crowded plane with no legroom. I am now in Frankfurt Germany. When I was walking through the airport, I saw a little hotdog stand that said Frankfurt hotdogs. I didn’t know they came from here I’m sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to Portugal, which leaves in the little over an hour. Look at the picture below all the little stores in the airport sell tons and tons of bread.Read more

Heute beginnt unser Mittelmeerkreuzfahrt😀. Helga, Janina und Andreas sind dann mal weg 🇬🇷 🇲🇹 🇪🇸 🇵🇹. Abflug von Frankfurt ist morgens um 6:50 Uhr.
Jonas fährt uns zum Flughafen und noch nur 2:30 Stunden sind wir schon da.
Dann noch knapp eine Stunde mit dem Bus durch Athen zum Hafen und dann steht uns Schiff für die kommende Woche schon da.
Wir haben THE HEAVEN gebucht und werden vom Concierge empfangen, eingecheckt und zur Suite begleitet. Schon mal nicht schlecht…👍
Unsere Suite hat 2 Schlafzimmer ein Wohnzimmer und 2 Bäder, reicht uns.
Wir erkunden das Schiff, essen gut zu Abend und fallen nach einem Drink an der Bar müde ins Bett.Read more

By the time we arrived in Frankfurt, Ruby and I were exhausted. Whatever our earlier expectations of Frankfurt airport were, it wasn't as easy to navigate. Due to the language barrier, we didn't realise to go to the shops and restaurants in the airport while on transit, we needed to get our passports stamped and go through immigration, as this was the first entry into the EU. We managed to find some shops and a rest area. As the choices were limited, we found a rather nice carbonara but the restaurant had Stuart Littles running around. I ushered Ruby out of the restaurant pronto. The 4 hours passed slowly but our flight from Frankfurt was piloted by Speedy Gonzales. We made it to Prague in 45 mins.
Ruby's lungs were good throughout all the flights so let the holidays begin.

Wir warten nun in Frankfurt auf den Weiterflug. Dank Papataxi (noch einmal Happy Birthday von uns!) waren wir schnell am Grazer Flughafen und dort ist man ja immer ruckzuck durch. Unser Air Dolomiti Flug war nur ein wenig verspätet. In FRA angekommen wurden wir wie immer eine halbe Ewigkeit mit dem Bus durch die Gegend gekarrt. Bis zum Gate B22 hatten wir es diesmal nicht weit, doch ergriffen wir dort schnell wieder die Flucht. Ein ganzes Rudel lärmender Kinder hielt sich in unserer Nähe auf. Also nichts wie weg! Einige Meter weiter fanden wir zum Glück ein ruhigeres Plätzchen.Read more

Wir hatten genügend Zeit zum Umsteigen, zumal unser Flieger zu spät eintraf und unser Abflug sich dadurch verzögerte.
Moscha probierte gleich die flat bed Funktion aus und beim Glas Willkommenschampagner studierten wir die Speisekarte.
Mit rund 45 Minuten Verspätung begannen wir den knapp 9 Stunden Flug.
Der sehr gute Discover Service setzte sich bei der Zubereitung und dem Geschmack des Essens fort. Erst gegen 1 Uhr nachts kamen wir zum Schlafen.Read more

Flight left Abuja late at 9:05 pm. Suprisingly they had Jollof rice on board, nice touch by Lufthansa incorporating a Nigerian meal in their menu. Seat was quite tight, scanned through tgeir movie selection, apparently I have watched all the new movies they have under Sci-fi and Action which are my preferred genre so I tuned to the flight channel tracking our movement across North africa across the Mediterranean and into Europe. A few mild bumps along the way. Slept a bit. Finally landed in Frankfurt at 5:10am. It took over 10mins for the plane to get to our disembarking gate.

The boarding gate for my connecting flight was far away, had to take the sky train. In total spent over 30mins getting to the boarding gate.

This is my second time in Frankfurt Airport and also 2nd flight on Lufthansa. 1st time was in 1996 and I was enroute to the Netherlands for a meeting.

Waiting time about 4hrs before connecting with Air Canada.

Boarding commenced at 9am according to zones staring with Zone 1. I boarded with zone 3s.Read more

Arrived Frankfurt at 7:35am after flying for about 7hrs. Have an almost 4hr wait before taking the next flight to Port Harcourt.

Had McMuffins for breakfast at the McDonald store and bought some souvenirs at the dury free store.

Boarding commenced at 10:30am. Met Tina (former colleague) who had connected from Canada with another airline but was on the same Lufthansa flight to PH with me also on the flight was Dave Nosike(another colleague) who was on official trip to Europe.

My seat again was one of the centre four seats but this time around an aisle seat. However the two middle seats were vacant. Unlike the previous fliggt from Canada this one had lots of empty seats and passengers were asked if they wanted to upgrade to premium economy or business class for a fee.Read more
