It hard to believe we actually boarded the plane with 5 negative Covid tests. Jada had tested positive just 5 days earlier and it seemed out special family vacation would not happen. Excitedly we all went into Saskatoon and had an amazing supper at Chop Steakhouse. To bed early as we had an early flight at 8am. Although our connections to Calgary and Vancouver were full planes. What a treat to basically have the long flight to Hawaii to ourselves. Yes God sure did pour out his favour on our Maui Vacay.Read more

As you know I really love rainbows. Hawaii’s tropical landscapes did not disappoint. The beauty of the landscapes, lush trees, exotic flowers, coastal shorelines and mountain horizons delight in every direction. We all woke early with the 4 hour time gain, eager to soak up the sun. 5 chairs perched around the main pool we were living the Hawaii life. Not sure why Cashe decided an ocean swim was a must. 5 minutes later we made our way to urgent care. He received 7 stitches, no freezing. Despite how much it hurt, he chatted with all the nurses about his passion for the farm. The afternoon almost over I rushed back to the pool and instantly relaxed. Sun, sand, sea

Getting into vacation mode was not as easy for the guys, as us girls. Although we had now booked lots of activities, today we decided just to lounge at a beach. A short drive away, we enjoyed the beach and surf at Whalers Village. Jada and I shared a shaved ice, ✅ off my must do list. We all enjoyed jumping in the big waves but missed our opportunity to surf as the wind picked up. We stopped at a fun spot for lunch under a grass umbrella and a sand floor. It was delicious. As we returned to our resort, we decided to try out the food truck vendors for supper. Not as good as others had raved, but still neat to eat outside under the twinkle lights.Read more
