Rhine bank

The banks of the Rhine were desolate and barren for decades. Only recently have the residents of Basel discovered the banks of the Rhine for themselves.

Stalls and cafes now line the banks and Rhine swimmers stroll along them.

People spend cosy summer days and summer evenings on the Rhine steps and in the summer months free concerts are held on the raft in front of them.Read more
