Transsibirische Eisenbahn: Etappe 1

It is time to start with the transsibirean train today! Our first stage will go from Moscow Yaroslavsky Station to Perm. A distance of 1400km to the east and a journey time of 23 hours. I am so excited! Let's see how comfortable a journey in the third class of a Russian train is...

The first impression: totally fine! We have the two lower beds, so there is enough space for our huge backpacks and it is very comfortable for us. The lady from Russian Rail do not speak one word English but she accepted our tickets so it seems that everything is correct.

Heute geht es los: Mit der Transsibirischen Eisenbahn von Moskau bis nach Peking. Unsere erste Etappe führt uns von Moskau nach Perm. Insgesamt brauchen wir wohl ca. 23 Stunden für die 1400km lange Strecke. Ich bin so aufgeregt, weil ich diese Route schon ewig mal fahren wollte. Mal schauen wie komfortabel eine dritte Klasse in einem russischen Zug so ist...

Der erste Eindruck ist schonmal deutlich besser als erwartet: Wir haben die beiden unteren Betten und demnach mehr als genug Platz für unser Gepäck. Die Zugbegleiterin von unserem Abteil spricht kein Wort englisch, aber zumindest hat sie unsere Tickets akzeptiert und so dürfen wir wohl bis Perm weiterfahren.
