Auf zu den Horizontal Falls

When we first heard about the Horizontal Falls we thought we will never ever do such a trip. 900$ per person for not even six hours... BUT then everyone told us you have to do this, it is a natural wonder of the world and the trip is amazing. So today it was the time to do it. We had to book three weeks in advance to get a seat on one of the seaplanes departing from Broome Airport. The trip started with a 75-minute scenic flight over the Dampier Peninsula, Cape Leveque and the islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago before landing in the waters of Talbot Bay close to the horizontal falls.

Horizontale Wasserfälle? Als wir das erste Mal von diesem Phänomen gehört haben waren wir uns noch sicher das wir hier wohl nicht hinkommen werden, denn wer zahlt schon 900$ p.P. für einen knapp sechs stündigen Ausflug? Doch seitdem hat uns jeder immer wieder erzählt, dass wir diesen Ausflug machen und uns dieses Wunder der Natur ansehen müssen. Also ging es heute endlich los! Gebucht haben wir den trip schon vor drei Wochen, denn ausgebucht ist der Ausflug immer.
Für uns ging es kurz nach Sonnenaufgang vom Flughafen in Broome per Wasserflugzeug in die Talbot Bay ganz in der Nähe der Wasserfälle. Auf dem 75 minütigen Flug konnten wir traumhafte Blicke auf die Dämpfer Peninsula, Cape Leveque und das Buccaneer Archipelago genießen.
