Ein Emu kommt selten allein...

We left the Shark Bay today and just a few kilometres down the road we met an Emu family. How lucky, they crossed the road just next to us! Daddy, was looking after the kids pretty well, they all made it safely to the other side of the road! How good is that? For these moments, we really love to be in Australia!

And yes, it was daddy watching the kids crossing the road. Mum has left the family after laying the eggs to find a new lover. Daddy has to take care of the whole family.

Heute ging es wieder auf die Straße - knapp 400km nach Kalbarri standen auf dem Programm. Wir sind gerade ein paar Kilometer gefahren und plötzlich stand eine riesige Emu Familie am Straßenrand. Wie viel Glück kann man haben? Die Familie wollte genau jetzt die Straße überqueren!
Gute Nachrichten: Papa hatte all seine 12!!! Kinder im Griff und alle haben es sicher auf die andere Seite geschafft! Für diese Momente lieben wir Australien!

Und ja, nur Papa hat aufgepasst, denn Mama Emu legt nur die Eier und sucht sich dann so schnell es geht die nächste Affäre, denn sie hat keine Lust auf Familienausflüge und Windeln wechseln. Papa Emu muss die Kinder dann alleine großziehen...Okumaya devam et
