Umzug nach Darwin!

Winter is coming to Adelaide which means the ferris wheel needs to move to a warmer location - the Darwin Waterfront.

It took us two and a half days to pull down the wheel and load it onto trucks before we had to get on the road as well to move to Darwin!

A couple of weeks ago we bought a new (used) Mitsubishi Outlander to make the 3000km drive up to Darwin. In Darwin we will then move in our hopefully fancy new house and build up the wheel again starting from May 19 with the grand opening on May 26. But first we have a pretty long roadtrip through the Outback ahead of us. If everything goes well we will make most of the 3000km within 3,5 days to have some spare days up north before the trucks with the ferris wheel arrive.

First stage: Adelaide - Port Augusta - Coober Pedy! (Ca. 850km)

Der Winter hat uns eingeholt in Adelaide und dementsprechend ist es Zeit weiter zu ziehen. Wir folgen dem Riesenrad nach Darwin! Es hat nur 2,5 Tage gedauert das Riesenrad auseinander zu nehmen und auf fünf LKWs zu laden. Jetzt heißt es also unseren neuen (gebrauchten) Mitsubishi Outlander voll zu laden und 3000km gen Norden nach Darwin zu fahren. Die Route führt uns mitten durchs Outback und die Temperaturen werden von Tag zu Tag heißer werden. Wenn alles gut geht sind wir hoffentlich bereits in 3,5 Tagen in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Darwin.
