Naracoorte Caves

In our way to Mt Gambier we stopped to explore some of the Naracoorte Caves. Unfortunately we were already too late for most of the tours and didn’t have enough time to join the late afternoon Tour to see the bats, so we opted for a self guided tour through the Stick Tomato Cave (funny name isn't it?).
We learned a lot about the limestone caves and sinkholes that are found everywhere in the area and how they are formed.

Auf dem Weg nach Mt Gambier haben wir einen Zwischenstopp in Naracoorte eingelegt um uns die Höhlen hier anzusehen. Leider hatten wir nicht genug Zeit um eine der geführten Touren mitzumachen, also haben wir stattdessen die Stick Tomato Höhle auf eigene Faust entdeckt.
