How the other half lives

Big Bend is up next to the Rio Grande which forms some of the border with Mexico. In the past, a crossing operated over to the village of Boquillas del Carmen, but it was closed when I was there. The villagers however bring their painted souvenirs over the river and lay them out beside car parks in the park, with a box for money, and they come back at the end of the day to collect.
