We've found a patch of desert that will call home tonight. It was dark when we arrived, so we're not exactly sure where we are. At least a couple of miles from other humans which is the main thing.

Camping in Coconino National Forest

Tonight we're outside Flagstaff in Arizona. Dinner has been made and eaten. All the food locked up as we're in Bear country again. Nice and cool tonight.
Car Problems

We had lunch and took a walk with Della here under the Cathedral mesa this afternoon.

Bad news

Car needs a new pump which they won't get until Tuesday. James starts in Lubbock Texas on Wednesday (10 hours away).

Camping in high chapperal

Because of the car woes, we're still in the Coconino National forest tonight about 30 miles east, on the other side of Flagstaff. A very different terrain than last night and I would say at least 10Leggi altro

A ghost town build on an area of Indian history, then a trading post, ultimately a town with a post office. It even has a zoo at one point.

A cave that a group of Navajo found hiding Apaches, before killing all 42 of them in retribution for another massacre that the Apache inflicted on the Navajo.
