So the docking procedure is quite involved and takes about 30 minutes each time. The ship drops 6 lines, one at a time. The port crew retrieve the rope from the water and hand it off to those on the dock to loop around a tether point. The ship then pulls the line taut, and repeat.
TravelerThe gangways are then moved into place with a forklift and the security scanners are put in place. Yawn! I want to get off and explore.
