We've docked on the port side. It's still dark and a bit foggy, so not much to see yet. This area has the highest concentration of Coastal Brown bears in the world, so needless to say my objectivesLæs mere

So the docking procedure is quite involved and takes about 30 minutes each time. The ship drops 6 lines, one at a time. The port crew retrieve the rope from the water and hand it off to those on the dock to loop around a tether point. The ship then pulls the line taut, and repeat.
RejsendeThe gangways are then moved into place with a forklift and the security scanners are put in place. Yawn! I want to get off and explore.
