• 🏛️Potsdam Sanssouci Park

    June 14, 2012 in Germany ⋅ 🌧 14 °C

On the fourth day of our trip we visited the beautiful Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. The huge park immediately impressed us with its well-kept gardens, wide pathways and historic buildings. The park is especially famous for Sanssouci Palace, which once served as the summer residence of Frederick the Great. During our walk we discovered many impressive fountains, statues and flower gardens. The peaceful atmosphere in the park was a nice change from the busy city life of Berlin. From the terraces we had a wonderful view over the entire area. Everywhere in the park you could feel the long history and the special charm of Potsdam. Many visitors enjoyed the sunny weather and took photos in front of the historic buildings. Visiting Sanssouci Park was both relaxing and very interesting. The trip to Potsdam was definitely one of the most beautiful moments of our journey.
