    August 29, 2018 in Turkey ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Afterwards, we visited the Grand Mosque of Mardin, one of the landmarks of the old city. Its distinctive minaret can be seen from afar and dominates the skyline. Dating back to the 12th century, it is one of the oldest Islamic structures in the region. The architecture is characterized by its elegant simplicity. We were particularly impressed by the detailed stonework and harmonious proportions. The courtyard offered a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The mosque is still actively used and remains an important religious center. During our visit, we enjoyed the unique ambiance of this historic site. The combination of history, faith, and architecture made the visit especially memorable. It is one of Mardin's most significant attractions.
