🏛️Kasımiye Medresesi

We then visited the Kasımiye Madrasa, one of Mardin's most famous historic landmarks. Completed in the 15th century, it once served as an important center of education. Upon entering, we were impressed by the intricate stone carvings and spacious layout. The central courtyard forms the heart of the complex. One of its most famous features is the symbolic water basin representing the journey of human life. From the terraces, we enjoyed fantastic views over the Mesopotamian plains. The architecture beautifully combines science, religion, and art. During our visit, we learned more about the madrasa's history and significance. Many parts of the structure remain remarkably well preserved. It was one of the cultural highlights of our stay in Mardin.
