We then visited the famous Balıklıgöl, one of Şanlıurfa's best-known landmarks. According to legend, Prophet Abraham was thrown into a fire by King Nimrod, but the flames turned into water and the burning logs into fish. Therefore, the carp living in the pond are considered sacred and are treated with respect. The area is surrounded by historic buildings, mosques, and beautiful gardens. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Many visitors fed the fish and enjoyed the scenic views. The combination of religion, history, and nature makes Balıklıgöl truly unique. During our visit, we took many memorable photos. The well-maintained pathways are perfect for leisurely walks. It is undoubtedly one of the city's most important attractions.
