• 🦤Northern Bald Ibis

    August 30, 2018 in Turkey ⋅ ☀️ 37 °C

Around noon, we visited the famous conservation center for the Northern Bald Ibis in Birecik. These rare birds are among the region's most iconic animals. They were once threatened with extinction, leading to extensive conservation efforts. At the visitor center, we learned more about their behavior and habitat. The birds are easily recognized by their long curved beaks and distinctive appearance. Observation areas allowed us to see them up close. The facility plays an important role in protecting this rare species. Many visitors come here to learn about wildlife conservation projects in Turkey. The combination of education and nature made the experience particularly rewarding. It was impressive to see the success of these conservation efforts.
