Our next visit took us to the tomb of Sheikh Edebali, one of the most important figures in early Ottoman history. He played an important role in shaping the values and philosophy of the early Ottomans. According to tradition, his advice greatly influenced Osman I during the foundation of the empire. The tomb is located on a hill and offers a beautiful view over Bilecik. The historic complex includes the mausoleum and peaceful areas for visitors to reflect. The atmosphere was calm, respectful, and deeply connected to history. Standing at a place linked to the birth of the Ottoman Empire was a fascinating experience.
