• The regenerative farm at Heligan

As well as the gardens, Heligan is also home to a groundbreaking farming project. They use regenerative grazing to help combat climate change. This is a way of moving animals around the estate so that they replicate the behaviour of wild grazing animals. Different species are kept together as would happen in the wild - on the plains of the Serengeti, for example. The Heligan staff call their mixed groups of sheep and cattle 'flerds', a cross between flocks and herds! I love this!! ❤️

We watched a film 🎥 during our visit to the Lost Gardens, which explained the ethos of the farm and why they are so keen on rare breeds. It was fascinating!!

Look out for a photo 📸 of the happiest pig ever! 😂
