• A bus ride to Fowey

    After a housekeeping day on site yesterday when we got all the laundry done and did some jobs on the van, this morning we caught the number 24 bus from just outside the site and went all the way to Fowey. It was a cold 🥶 morning, but at least it stayed dry.

    We had a walk around the town, and I explored the local church, which is dedicated to St Fimbarrus, or St Finn Barr. He is believed to have been the Bishop of Cork from 610 to 630, who stopped off in Fowey on his pilgrimage to Rome.

    Once we'd seen the town, we called at a pub for a cider before catching the bus back. On the way, we broke our journey at Asda in St Austell to pick up a few bits we needed.
