Mumbai's wholesale flower market

Our next stop was at the wholesale flower market. Again, there were both legal and illegal stalls. They were all doing a roaring trade, both because it's Republic Day today, and also because it's the height of the wedding season. It is just the flower heads that are sold. They are priced by the kilo and are used to make garlands. Subhan pointed out the enterprising ladies who were walking through the legal market picking up stray flower heads off the floor and taking them to sell in the illegal market!
