Kumbhalgarh Fort

After a couple of hours, we reached our first stop, Kumbhalgarh Fort, a fortress located on the western range of the Aravalli Hills. It was constructed in the 15th century by Rana Kumbha. The wall that surrounds the fort is 36 kilometres long, and is the second longest continuous wall in the world behind the Great Wall of China. The fort is also famous for being the birthplace of great king and military leader Maharana Pratap of Mewar. The site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
