Pumdikot Shiva Statue

Our next stop was at Pumdikot, a hill station with a viewpoint over Pokhara's Fewa Lake and the Himalayas at an altitude of 1500 metres. Sadly, having made the climb from where the bus dropped us off, we realised it was too hazy to see very much. The site is home to the second-tallest statue of Shiva in Nepal. The statue itself is 51 feet tall, but it sits on a 57-foot-tall white stupa, making the whole structure 108 feet high. Once we'd looked around the stupa and taken some photos, we went for a coffee in a nearby cafe. The stop was also intended to give us time to visit Dream City, a fairground on the next peak. Seeing as this was of no interest, we had a coffee instead.Baca lagi
