• Guided walk in Varanasi

    After our meal, we wandered back to the hotel, arriving just in time to meet our guide for our tour of Varanasi. We went in totos (bigger than autos) to a starting point in the old city. Our guide led us through the chaotic, colourful alleyways full of shops and street art.

    The area we walked through is called Lahori Tola. It is a historic, densely packed residential and commercial locality in central Varanasi, near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor. Known for its narrow lanes, heritage, and proximity to the Ganges, it offers numerous hotels, homestays, and eateries, serving as a hub for pilgrims. We paused at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and viewed the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
