Sunset cruise on the Ganges

At 5pm, we were ready to go on the sunset cruise on the Ganges. All of us except Mira and Hisa chose to do it. We went by auto back to Assi Ghat and then transferred to a small boat. It was much busier on the water than it was this morning. We basically covered the same route as earlier on, but the atmosphere was totally different. When we got near to the cremation site, we could see that there were many more cremations taking place than there had been this morning. At this point, our boatmen offered small flower arrangements with candles to remember a loved one by. I didn't want to do another one after this morning, but most of our fellow travellers did, so there were a few tears on our way back to the drop-off point!Read more
