    Theodore Roosevelt Dam is a 357-foot (109-meter) masonry dam located northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Originally built between 1905-1911 under the Newland's reclamation Act of 1902 and opened by President Theodore Roosevelt on March 18, 1911, it serves mainly for irrigation, water supply and flood control with a hydroelectric generating capacity of 36 megawatts.Read more
