Jicama

Picking up some provisions for the day, I stumbled upon a vegetable I hadn't seen before. I imagine it must be similar to kohlrabi. I'll let you know one I've tried it.

Here's a description from Spruce Eats:

"Jicama is a crunchy root that's native to Mexico where the food also goes by the names yam bean, Mexican turnip, and Mexican potato. But unlike many other root vegetables, jicama has a snap to it and a juiciness that's refreshing, not starchy.
