Day 8: Caves & Bats...yay!

Mammoth Cave National Park!

Had a wonderful time tramping around a miniscule part of the cave system on the Historic Tour. This tour is a bit over 2 miles, includes 550+ steps, some bats, caverns so narrow you have to go sideways and others you have to duck walk through. It was a blast!

The historic cabin I'm staying in is adorable and perfect for my needs. Oh yes...and tried Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie today. I'm a fan!

It's just after 7 pm CT and I'm tucked in bed reading. Up early tomorrow for the final push home. It's going to be a very long driving day but will be worth it to get there tomorrow.
