    11 czerwca 2017, Belgia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

I was so hot all night it was ridiculous I even went to the bathroom to wet my hair - when Will eventually got home I was dying so he opened up the window for me - the partying noises from downstairs came blaring through but at least I cooled down a bit.

We woke up later than we should have this morning but I still didn't feel fabulous and Will was recovering from last night so I quickly did more thorough research about the Flanders field museum - we are so so so pleased - it is open this Monday :DD we got lucky here. Tomorrow it is - today we will rent bikes.
We are also very happy we didn't go today because Grandad sent through an email with details of a relative buried there. We are both happy to have not missed the opportunity to find him.
Even though I'm technically not related I feel a sense of pride.
Looking forward to tomorrow very much.

We got up and went for Kebabs for breakfast - there was too much meat in them.
We have now done our daily return to the hostel for Wills poo........... and I'm now waiting for him before we go get bikes.
We ended up lounging around for a lot longer than anticipated but eventually, we did make our way down to reception for 2 bikes.
For the first time ever Will fitted something better than i did. My bike was just a little big too but so I couldn't walk and stand in the seat with out being on my tippy toes and even then it was very difficult.
We went for a 2 hour ride. I thought we were going to ride around the suburbs but we ended up doing a big circuit out of the city and into the country side. It was beautiful riding along the river with the wind in my face. I did eat a bug though 😒
We took a random right and headed into farm land and saw the biggest bull, omg what a heffa!!
It was beautiful this part and my favourite leg of the journey.
We ended up in a suburban area which I didn't like being in because I just seemed to always second guess my knowledge of their road rules and my hesitating made it quite dangerous. I normally(to Wills annoyance) just jumped off my bike and walked to the footpath.
We rode past a prison -low security judging from the outside and past cute little streets with buildings that weren't cottages but reminded me of them.
We rode through a nice park - my ass was KILLING me at this point.
Will said I wasn't a very good rider but he can suck it because I didn't fall off AND I rode for the longest amount of time with no hands I have ever done - I even did 5 or so full pedal motions before I put them back on.
Will said I wasn't allowed to try again because we weren't wearing helmets - I figured that was fair enough lol.
We rode past the windmills Will went and saw yesterday - I hadn't missed much. Lol
We made it home and my throats is still super sore.

After grandad told us of his relative buried I thought I would ask Janice and Richard if I had anyone else. I learnt my Great Grandfather fought at Fromelles - survived and came home to marry Lillian Chapman. Lilian's brother James died and is buried at Mericourt Cemetery.
So I think that makes him Pupa's Uncle. ( Or maybe Nana's but I assume it would be Pupa's side)
I think Wills relative is Grandads Uncle too.

Unfortunately both of the war fields for my family are in France not Belgium - hopefully we will have another opportunity later on.

We went for a walk to find Flemish stew at a place recommended to us by a girl we met in Bulgaria - unfortunately it was booked out so we found another place that sold it.
We blew the budget out of the water but we figured tomorrow we are saving a heap of money by not going on a tour and doing the war fields ourselves.
We both had the Flemish beef stew which came with apple purée - the flavors went together so well!
Will also got a Caesar salad. We spent a whopping 75€
But it was so good. #YOLO
We then found a chocolate shop were I bought 3 bars worth because I feel like we haven't eaten enough considering our location + I didn't want stupid little bite size things. I wanted chocolate blocks that wouldn't spoil because they had a packaging lol.
We tried to find a supermarket to get toothpaste but failed so we are now home.
My sore throat is turning into a nasty cough but I will push on!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

So I finally wrote the 2 postcards I've been carrying around for weeks. One to nana and one to Baba Penka.
I used google translated to write Baba Penkas but it spat out Cyrillic letter not Latin letters so I literally have no idea what I've said to her. Hahah all part of the fun. It was so weird to write. If worst comes to worst I can message Danny to let him know what I intended it to say lol.
The postcard to nana is super crappy as I couldn't fit hardly anything onto it. Im sending it to my house so mum and dad can put it with the Rose stuff I got for her. Maybe I'll write them an email to give her as well with more info.

    My throats really hurts :(
