On On to the Next Adventure

I should have been in the air at 1730 for the first leg to Miami . . . but due to severe rain storms in Miami, we were delayed by about 4 hours. I missed my connection to Doha (and the follow on to Nairobi). Finally got in the air, and made it to Miami. But there was no reps for Qatar Air.

Had to find a hotel, but just as I got to the Airport Hotel desk, they sold the last single room. So then had to find a hotel in town. Made it out, got some snacks and a couple beers, and got on the phone to Qatar Air. Got my flight rebooked, on the most garbled phone line, could hardly understand what he was saying. But I got an email with new flight, and good seats. So will arrive 24 hours later than expected, and miss the Saturday Hash . . . but will still get to the Sunday and Monday hash trails in Nairobi.Læs mere
