Long flight back . . .

What an amazing trip to Africa. Long flight on return . . . Malawi to Addis Ababa, to Geneva, to Newark, and finally to Boston. Transit was mostly uneventful, except in Geneva. Arrived, and we had to wait about 15 minutes because they could not open the airplane door (new A350, so may have been the ramp was off line). Then we exited another door, and entered the terminal to another locked door, for another 15 minute wait. Then for those of us just transferring, there was another door to pass through, also locked, and another 15 minute wait. Then had to get scanned again, and the woman in front of me lost her boarding pass, and we stood there while they fumbled around with her for another 10-15 minutes. Eventually got through, all this happened in less than 100 meters from the airplane I arrived on . . . what a CF.

Was able to visit 5 new countries (Kenya, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, and Malawi), and hash in 4 of them (went on a day trip to Botswana for a Safari). Back in the US now for about a month. Then off to Thailand for a month.もっと詳しく
