Super X H3 #119

Decided to hang around Taipei after Pan Asia Hash, to explore the city and catch a few new hash clubs in action. While this is my third visit to Taiwan, tonight I joined the Super X H3 for the first time.

Excellent group, we had about 25-30 hashers on hand, with many visitors from Tokyo. Trail was originally billed at 8-9 Kms, but they changed at the last minute down to 5.5 kms, and moved the start about 400 meters away to an interesting building that will be explained in the pictures.

Trail was pure city streets, but a fun and fast paced trek . . . so fast, that after 2 kms, I was falling behind. By 4 kms I was in their dust, and ended up finishing pretty much on my own (but all good). But surprisingly, in the first 5. Seems the speedy runners got to the one and only check on trail, and took off in the wrong direction and did not finish until 10 minutes later than us slow pokes.

Circle was excellent, but all in Chinese, so hell if I know what they were talking about. 🙂 After circle was over, they took a count for who wanted to stay for dinner . . . about 12, and off we went. There were dozens of places to eat right near the run site, but nooooooo. We have to walk a frickin' km to a place. I had strategically planned my hotel to be close to the hash, about 400 meters, but screw that. Now I am km away. 🙂 . . . but a nice little walk after dinner is always good. RIGHT?!?
