    Bye Auckland, bye NZ

    March 3, 2019 in the Netherlands ⋅ 🌧 8 °C

What is time a weird thing.
In Peru eight months biking in NZ seemed endless and now the year is already over.
    The last weeks have flown.
    It's been nice.
I enjoyed it, of course there have been days that it did not go well.
    No light without darkness.
The alarm clock went off at 5.00.
Most of it was already packed so after breakfast we sat at 6.10 on the bike.
With full packing plus the cardboard and the roll of plastic bubbles.
    We are broadly like that.
14 km to the plane, we count for an hour.
We'll do it in 50 minutes.
Of course first a flat white where we are talking to an Italian lady who has lived in NZ for 14 years.
We are just talking about French cuisine, not good.
    And Italian cuisine, the best.
Then we really have to pack the bikes.
At check-in they have comments about our packaging.
They have to be in a box.
We both say that it was accepted at Schiphol when we flew to NZ by the same company.
There is still some talk and talk.
Eventually we have to sign a form that we can not claim any damage.
    That is what we do.
I do not really care if they are in a box or not.
We then have to take them to the odd size counter.
Again it is said that the bikes are not allowed to join and we have to fill in a no claims claim form
An older employee asks if we fly with China Southern: yes.
Oh then they already signed it.
    No problem.
Just as exciting whether they fit through the scanner.
    It works with some inventiveness.
And then there is suddenly announced that our flight is ready to leave while it is just 9.30.
Rino just went to the toilet.
When he comes back, it is last call for flight CS
    336.
And it is still a 15-minute walk.
    That is running.
Halfway we are picked up by a trolley of airline.
    Pppfft that was sweating.
    Finally we leave at 10.10.
It has been nice, in the two ways you can say this.
    For Shane, Beverly and Jonathan.
Thanks again for the tiime I spend with you.
    God bless you.
Ill be back and hope to see you again.
    Keep in touch.
    Greatings Karin.
